Hilda J. (Jason) Lawrence of Dartmouth died Thursday February 19, 2015 peacefully at Brandon Woods of Dartmouth surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Charles C. Lawrence.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Joseph and Camille (Perry) Jason, she lived in Dartmouth for most of her life.
She was a communicant of St. Mary's Church, South Dartmouth.
Mrs. Lawrence was formerly employed at the Star Store, the Outlet Company, and Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company.
She was a member of the Goodyear Senior Citizens.
She is survived by three children, Brenda Mahoney, Sandra Houlihan and her husband John, and Phil Lawrence and his wife Anne Marie, all of Dartmouth; her daughter-in-law, Carole Lawrence of Sarasota, FL; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the mother of the late Robert and Jeffrey Lawrence, and sister of the late Phoebe Souza, Evelyn Santos, Edith Anthony, Thelma Mosher, Claire Jason, Leonard Jason, and Arnold Jason.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass at St. Mary's Church, South Dartmouth, Wednesday at 10 AM. Visiting hours are omitted. Private burial will be in St. John's Cemetery.
