George E. Harrison, 69, of New Bedford died Tuesday February 17, 2015 at St. Luke's Hospital after a brief illness. He was the husband of Ramona (DaSilva) Harrison.
Born in New Bedford, the son of the late Edith M. (Stevens) and Edmund Francis Harrison, he lived in New Bedford all of his life.
Mr. Harrison was formerly employed by the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 4.
He enjoyed all sports, as well as archery, fishing, hunting, and automobile racing. He was a member of the National Rifle Association, and participated in many of its competitions.
He is survived by his wife Ramona; his children, Lisa and Curtis Harrison, both of New Bedford; his siblings, Geraldine F. Harrison of Columbia, MO, and Edmund F. Harrison and his wife Brenda of New Bedford; three grandchildren; and a niece and two nephews.
