Obituary

King Matthew J. (Matty) age 27 of South Boston passed away suddenly and unexpected on February 18th. Matty was a lifelong Southie resident and was a very proud member of the Boston EMS (Badge # 1025 working on ambulance 6 nights in South Boston) where he saved several lives and positively impacted hundreds of people under his care. Matty was a diehard Boston sports fan who enjoyed watching games with his Father, Family & Friends. Matty had an electrifying personality and could light up a room the second he walked in.
Matty is survived by his girlfriend, his soulmate & his best friend Leanne Armstrong of Waltham, Ma. He is also survived by his loving and caring parents Robert & Joanne King of South Boston & his loving and loyal siblings Kelly Fichtner of Braintree, Katherine (Jeanie) & Jamie Orsino of Stoneham, Robin Foley of Holbrook, Robert & Robin “In-law” King of So. Weymouth, James King of South Boston & Kasey King of Belmont.
He is the Grandson of the late Joe & Kate King Formerly of South Boston also Mac & Eileen McQueen.
Matty is the loving Uncle to Krystie, McKinley & Riley Fichtner of Braintree. Alex, Michaela & Dominic Orsino of Stoneham. Stephen & Courtney Foley of Holbrook. Kason, Katherine & Kaeden King of So. Weymouth. Colby, Tallan, Brody & Brynley King of Bradford Ma. & his Godson Cullan (Cully) Sarmiento of Belmont.
Matty is the nephew to the late Sissy Greene, the late Katherine King, the late Joseph King, the late Ronald King & the Late Mimi McQueen. He is survived by his Aunts & Uncles Mal & Mike Mcdonough, Gayle & Roland Spencer, Maureen Beede, Steven McQueen, Wayne & Sue McQueen, Kevin & Mary McQueen & Brian & Sharon McQueen.
Matty has too many close cousins, best friends and very close extended family to name individually but you all know who you are because he treated you like a brother or a sister.
