Nancy Ann (Mello) Alves, age 73 of Somerset, passed away on Friday, Feb. 20, 2015 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Joaquim “Jack” Alves and the daughter of the late John and Alice (Silvia) Mello. Prior to retiring, Nancy worked as a bank teller for Bank of America.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her 4 Sons: Michael Alves of Somerset, Steven Alves (wife Michelle) of Wareham, Jeffrey Alves (wife Catherine) of Fall River, and Gregory Alves (wife Nancy) of Swansea; 6 Grandchildren: Courtney, Jessica, Emily, Jenna, Tyler, Matthew, Deven, and Ty; her Sister: Joyce Frizado of Fall River; her Brother: John Mello of Tucson, AZ; and several nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME, INC. 1521 N. Main St. Fall River, MA on FRIDAY, Feb. 27th at 9:30 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Michael’s Church, Essex St. Fall River at 10:30 A.M.
