Mrs. Carolyn Lee Wheeler, age 80, of Pembroke, passed from this life peacefully on the morning of Wednesday,
February 11, 2015.
Carol was born in Quincy, MA on June 13,1934, the first child of P PM Robert and Ivy Early. The Early family moved from Quincy to Pembroke in 1950, where Carol graduated from Pembroke High School in 1952. She later went on to become an executive secretary after moving to Los Angeles where she met, then married, her loving husband, George Wheeler, who preceded her in death.
In 1977, Carol returned from California, to Pembroke, to care for her parents in their later years. She remained in the Pembroke community until her passing. Carol enjoyed the company of her several canine companions, but really, loved all dogs that came into her life. Although she had no children of her own, Carol generously supported several young men and women in numerous ways for over 40 years.
Mrs. Carolyn Wheeler is survived by her sister, Margaret (Peg) Murrin née Early; nephews, Robert Shepherd and Douglas Shepherd; niece, Virginia (Ginger) Hughes née Shepherd, and several cousins including her supportive friend, Lori Seppula.
No memorial is planned at this time.
