ROACH - Chris Roach, 39, passed away Sunday, February 15, 2015 at his Fernandina Beach, FL residence.
He was born March 9, 1975 in Fernandina Beach and was a life-long resident. He was honorably discharged from the U. S. Army Reserves and was an electrical journeyman. Chris was a seeker of knowledge who enjoyed cooking and spending time with his family and friends. He was also a movie and trivia buff as well as an avid reader.
He was predeceased by his grandparents, Richard and Gertrude Roach; and Mickey and Hazel Rushton.
Survivors include his step father and mother, Billy and Patti Keller of Fernandina Beach, FL; his father, Michael Roach of Jacksonville, FL; a sister, Jessica Perry, also of Jacksonville; uncles and aunts, Mitch Rushton, Jr., Pam Rushton, Jerry Rushton, Jackie Rushton, Kent Fidler, Debbie Fidler, Steve Roach and Renita Roach; cousins, Mitchell Rushton, III, Andrew Rushton, Emily Rushton, Casey Wise, Walker Rushton, Rachelle Edminston, Katie Fidler, Tabitha Roach and Justin Roach.
A celebration of Chris' life will be held at the River of Praise Worship Center, 83410 St. Mark Drive, Yulee, FL 32097 on Sunday, March 8, at 2:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Special Olympics in Chris' honor.
