New Bedford – Eduardo Isidorio, age 81, passed away on February 17, 2015 at home with his family at his side. He was the loving husband of Maria F. (Paiva) Isidorio and the son of the late Maria Isabel and Manuel Isidorio.
Born in St Michael, Azores, he came to this country March 1, 1980 and worked as a Sneaker Assembler at Knapp Shoes and later worked a South Dartmouth Landscaping until his retirement. He was a member of the Monte Pio Club, was an avid Benfica fan and loved to play Dominoes.
His family includes 5 children:Fernando J. Isidorio of Connecticut, Eduardo M. Isidorio and his wife Lucy of New Bedford, Luisa Lavra and her husband Ranato of Brazil, John Isidorio and his wife Grace of New Bedford, and Peter Isidorio and his wife Tina of New Bedford; as well as 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister, Conceicao Isidorio of Portugal and several nieces and nephews. Eduardo was the brother of the late Manuel, Jose Jacinto and Joao Isidorio.
His funeral will be Monday beginning in the funeral home at 8:00 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 9:00 A.M. Burial will follow in Rural Cemetery. Visiting hours will take place in the funeral home on Sunday evening from 5 - 8 P.M.
