Janice "Jan" Glasko, 78, of Chestnut Hill Road, Chepachet, died Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at Fatima Hospital in North Providence. She was the widow of Walter W. “Chubby” Glasko.
Born in Burrillville, she was a daughter of the late Oscar and Irene (Veroneau) Ducharme. She had lived in Glocester for many years.
She had been a cook at the Purple Cat Restaurant in Chepachet for many years before retiring.
She is survived by her four sons: Luke Glasko, Andrew Glasko and Daniel Glasko, all of Glocester, and James Glasko of Bracey, Virginia, seven grandchildren and her siblings: Donald Ducharme of Plymouth, MA, Joyce Mullins of Glocester, Rose LaCavita, of Sefner, Florida and Ann Wilcox of North Providence. She was the mother of the late Kyle C. Glasko.
Her funeral service will be held Saturday at 9:30 am in the ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Burial will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to the Glocester Food Pantry, c/o Glocester Town Clerk, P.O. box B, Chepachet, RI 02814.
