Obituary

BEVERLY: Winifred L. “Winnie” (Osgood) Trainor, 92, passed away Thursday, February 12, 2015 at Essex Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Center following an extended illness.
Born in Montour Falls, New York on October 2, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Edwin and Mary (Turner) Osgood. She had resided in New York for many years before moving to Beverly in 1962.
Winnie was employed at the Hannah Elementary School and Roller Palace in Beverly for many years. She was an active member of the Herman A. Spear Post # 331, American Legion in Beverly. She enjoyed going to the beach, playing bingo and especially loved to spend time with her family and beloved grandchildren.
She is survived by her five daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy and John Brooks of Londonderry, NH, Pat and Ed Brooks of Beverly, Diana and Mark Callahan of Beverly, Peggy and Peter Cook of Beverly and Carol and Scott Plaisted of York, Maine; seven grandchildren, Christopher Brooks and his fiancée, Sara Trepanier, Mandi and John Delio, Valerie and Michael Drinan, Kimberly Callahan, Rachel Brooks, Nick Brooks and Lindsay Plaisted; four great-grandchildren, Michael and Isabella Brooks and Arianna and Alissa Delio and many nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her son, Bill Trainor, grandson, Joshua Plaisted, two brothers, Ken and Ivan Osgood and a sister, Barbara Frankenberg.
The family will be receiving relatives and friends on Tuesday, February 24th in the Grondin Funeral Home, 376 Cabot Street, Beverly from 6 -8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to Care Dimensions, 75 Sylvan St., Suite B-102, Danvers, MA 01923.
