Manuel Victorino Medeiros. Age 93. Husband of the late Mary (Viveiros Arruda) Medeiros. Residence 2446 Highland Ave., Fall River, Ma. formerly of 379 Lindsey St., Fall River, Ma. Died Monday at the Catholic Memorial Home. Born in Westport, Ma. Son of the late Jose A. Medeiros and the late Senhorinha(Patricio) Medeiros. He was born in Westport, went to the Azores at age 7, then back to Fall River at age 20 until present. Before retiring, he was a Laborer in the construction industry. He was a member of the Local # 610 Laborers Union since 1943.He was a member of St. Michael Church.
He is survived by One Daughter: Angela M. Barboza of Somerset, Ma. Two Grandchildren: Melissa Benevides and Amy Barboza, Two Great Grandchildren and Several nieces and nephews. He was also brother of the late Joao, David, Victor, and Jose Medeiros and the Grandfather of the late Manuel John Barboza, Jr.
His funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, 1521 No. Main St., Fall River, Ma. on Thursday at 9:00 AM followed by a funeral mass in St. Michael Church,Essex St., Fall River, Ma. at 10:00 A.M. Internment in St. Patrick Cemetery, Fall River, Ma. Calling hours Wednesday 4-8 P.M.
