Joseph A. Jacques, 78, of Londonderry, NH, died Saturday, January 1, 2005 in the Community Hospice House in Merrimack, NH. Mr. Jacques was born in Lawrence, MA on November 9, 1926, a son of the late Joseph R. and Eva (Chabot) Jacques. He was a resident of Londonderry 1978, formerly living in Lawrence, MA. He was a US Navy veteran having served during WWII. Mr. Jacques was employed as a carpenter for 30 years, including his work with Andover Construction. He was a member of the Carpenter's Union #111 of Dracut, MA. He was a communicant of St. Jude Parish in Londonderry.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Theresa C. (Michaud) Jacques of Londonderry, one daughter, Beverly M. Gallant and her husband Kenneth of Fremont, NH, three granddaughters, Tina Marston of Hampstead, NH, Tonia Howard of Lehigh Acres, FL, Toni Nicholson of Ft. Myers, FL, two great-grandsons, Connor Marston, Kevin Marston both of Hampstead, one sister, Doris Davis of Falmouth, MA, several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 5th at 10:30am in the St. Jude Parish, 435 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. The burial will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Lawrence, MA. Friends may call on Wednesday from 8:45 - 9:45am in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry prior to the Mass. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Parish Building Fund, 435 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry, NH 03053.
