Robert J. Kennedy of Stoneham passed away on Saturday January 1, 2005 at Wingate Nursing Home in Reading. He was 77 years of age.
Born in Somerville, Robert was a longtime resident of Stoneham. He was the son of the late Thomas F. Kennedy and Irene (McFall) Kennedy. Robert was a loving and caring son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend. He will be missed by all.
Robert adored his family, especially his grandchildren. They were first and foremost in his life.
Robert was a dedicated employee for Buck Printing Co. and Fidelity Press for many years. During World War II, Robert proudly served our country in the United States Navy.
Robert was the beloved husband of 55 years to Alice (Sloane) Kennedy. He was the devoted father of Kathleen Staunton of North Reading, Robert J. Kennedy Jr. of Stoneham and Earlene Masiello and her husband Sebastian of North Reading. Robert was the cherished grandfather of Laura and Gregory Staunton and Robert and Christian Masiello and the dear brother of Jean Horky and her husband Edmund of AZ and the late Theresa Sousa, Irene Victor, Thomas Kennedy, Marjorie Infacelli, Eleanor McCarty. Robert was the also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM Wednesday at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass celebrating Robert’s life in St. Patrick’s Church 71 Central St. Stoneham at 10am. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend visiting hours Tuesday 4-8pm. Parking attendants will be on duty. Interment St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Stoneham.
