Betty “Sara” Eaton Register, 83, of Tifton passed away on Wednesday, February 18, 2015, at Tift Regional Medical Center. A graveside funeral service will be held for Mrs. Register at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 21, 2015, at Tift Memorial Gardens, where she will be laid to rest. Rev. Joseph L. Crumley will officiate. The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 21, 2015, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mrs. Register was born on July 12, 1931 in Dooly County and was the daughter of Hubert Eugene Eaton and Lottie Ruth Womack Eaton, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters. She was an employee of Dixie Oil Company in Tifton and a member of Carpenter Road Church of God in Tifton.
Mrs. Register is survived by her husband of 65 years, William Elzie Register of Tifton; one daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Walt Albritton of Albany; three brothers and one sister-in-law, O. M. “Bo” Eaton and E. F. “Tony” and Ellen Eaton, both of Tifton and Clyde Eaton of California; three sisters and one brother-in-law, Myrtice Casey of Hiram, Sylvia Eaton of North Augusta, South Carolina and Gayle and Donnie Baker of Greenville, North Carolina; two grandchildren, Jessica Sadler and husband, Karl, and Haley Albritton; one great-grandson, Owen Sadler and a step great-grandson, Ethan Sadler.
