Obituary


Vivian O. (Labossier) Demasi passed away on February 14, 2015. She was 97 years old.

Vivian was born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island and has been a longtime resident of Malden. She enjoyed traveling with family, cooking, quilting, being with the ladies at the Malden Senior Center, and loved genealogy and finding her long lost ancestors.

Vivian was the devoted wife of the late Dominic J. Demasi. She was the daughter of the late William and Laura (Duclos) Labossier. Vivian was the beloved mother of Donna M. Malvey and her husband Wilfred W. of Woburn and the late Joseph W. Demasi. She was the sister of the late Hector, Theodore, and Oscar Labossier and Claire McMaster. Vivian was the cherished grandmother of Michael S. Malvey, Michele Malvey Oliveira, Joseph C., Anthony W., Todd, Jay, and Josh Demasi. She was the great grandmother of Sean M. and Ryan F. Malvey, Dominic T. Oliveira, Evan, Arthur and Joseph (jo-jo) Demasi, Katelyn Falco and Kerriann Falco Vidales. Vivian was the great-great grandmother of Ethan and Tessa Vidales. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and wonderful friends, and her beloved cat “Peter”.

The funeral will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home 865 Main Street, Malden on Saturday February 21st at 8:00a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Immaculate Conception Church 600 Pleasant Street, Malden at 9:00a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours are Friday February 20th from 4-8p.m. Entombment will be in Holy Cross Mausoleum, Malden.
