Obituary

BEVERLY: Margaret (Jovin) Weisensee, 90, died peacefully Saturday, February 14, 2015 in the Blueberry Hill Healthcare Center.
Born in Woodland, Maine on December 6, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Mary Helen (Evans) Jovin. She had resided in Beverly Farms and then Salem, MA, before moving to Beverly in 1972.
Margaret was employed as a certified nursing assistant by several private agencies in the Beverly region between 1972 and 1979. She was a devoted Catholic and cherished her faith from childhood. She was a regular communicant at St. Mary Star of the Sea Parish during her years in Beverly.
One of 18 children, she is survived by her sister, Marie Exzelia (Jovin) Wener, of San Diego, CA. She is predeceased by her other 16 siblings. She is also survived by her son, Thomas Weisensee of Amesbury, MA, son, James Weisensee of Manchester, NH, and daughter Mary (Weisensee) Dumont of Tyngsboro, MA, as well as ten grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son Mark Weisensee in 1997, son Martin Weisensee in 1999 and daughter Margaret (Peggy) Weisensee in 2010.
Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday in St. Mary Star of the Sea Church, 253 Cabot St., Beverly at 11 a.m. Visitation will be held prior to the Mass in the Grondin Funeral Home, 376 Cabot St., Beverly from 9 – 10:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the Regina Cleri House for retired priests of the Boston Archdiocese. Please send donations to “Clergy Health and Retirement Trust, 66 Brooks Drive, Braintree, MA 02184”. Interment will be held in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Beverly. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the Blueberry Hill Healthcare Center for the loving and attentive care that was provided for Margaret during the last four years of her life. We will always be grateful for their support.
