Margaret Fryer-Norwood, age 92, passed away at Bay Path in Duxbury on Monday, February 16, 2015.
Peg was the wife of the late Thomas Fryer and the late Glen Norwood and is survived by her children; Linda Fowler of Weymouth, Vicki Mattson of Marshfield and Thomas “Butch” Fryer of Frederick, MD and her grandchildren; Nicole Fowler of Weymouth, Joshua Fowler of Abington, Kristin Robinson of Rockland, Jeffrey Mattson of Marshfield, Lori Fryer of VA and Jeremy Fryer and Kendra Fryer both of MD. She also leaves two great grandchildren. Margaret is predeceased by her daughter, Janice Sole formerly of KY and her brothers, Thomas, Donald and Russell Lindsay.
She was born in Boston, grew up in Braintree and Franklin, NH and lived most of her life in Weymouth.
During World War II she did Accounting at the Hingham Shipyard and later worked for South Shore Hospital for 30 years as a secretary for the laboratory and also a transcriber of pathology reports.
She was Past Matron of the Wessagussett Chapter of Eastern Star and Past Mother advisor of Wessagussett Rainbow, She loved animals especially her dogs.
Visiting Hours will be on Friday, February 20 from 9:30 to 12 PM with an Eastern Star Service with Pilgrim Chapter of Eastern Star at 11:30 AM immediately followed by the Funeral Service at 12 PM.
