Obituary

Guido Razza, 94, died Friday, February 13, 2015 at the Home & Hospice Care of RI Inpatient Center in Providence. He was the husband of the late Margaret R. (Tammaro) Razza. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Eustachio and Lucia (Fusco) Razza. Prior to living at the Village at Waterman Lake, he had lived in Cranston for 43 years. He served in the US Navy during WWII and played in the Navel Band. Mr. Razza had worked at Brown University before retiring. He was a musician for over 70 years and a lifetime member of the Providence Federation of Musicians. Mr. Razza played with the Charlie Wagan Orchestra at Crescent Park Ballroom and the Ralph Stewart Orchestra. Throughout his career, Mr. Razza played for various politicians and entertainers.

He is survived by his children: Lucille Razza of North Providence and David Razza and his wife, Karen of Johnston. He was the brother of the late Emilio and Adolph Razza, Elsie Altieri, Leonilda Carnevale, Anna Sepe and Dalhia Perrotti.

A Mass of Christian Burial to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Thursday at 10am in St. Rocco Church, 927 Atwood Avenue, Johnston. Burial will follow in St. Ann’s Cemetery. Visitation respectfully omitted. Donations in his memory may be made to Home & Hospice Care of RI.
