Obituary

Edith (Kanter) Taub, 98, of Peabody formerly of Revere, beloved wife of Irving Taub died February 13 at the Kaplan Hospice House, Danvers surrounded by her loving family. Born in Boston the daughter of the late Harry and Bessie (Marshall) Kanter. A graduate of Roxbury Memorial High School, Edith had been employed as a credit investigator for Sears. Edith and her husband, who were residents of Revere for 58 years prior to moving to Peabody 7 years ago, was a long-time member of Temple B’nai Israel, Revere, MA.
In addition to her husband she is survived by her daughter Audrey Taub of Burlington and son Howard Taub of Charlestown, many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her brothers Leonard, Herbert, and Arnold Kanter, and sister Beatrice Kanter.
Her funeral service will be held in the Chapel at Sharon Memorial Park, Sharon, MA at 12:00 PM, Wednesday, February 18, 2015, followed by interment. Assisting the family with arrangements is the Torf Funeral Service 151 Washington Ave., Chelsea. Memorial observance will be held at her residence at Woodbridge Assisted Living Peabody, MA Wednesday, February 18 until 8:00 PM & then on Thursday and Friday, February 19 and 20 from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM.Contributions in her memory can be made to the Temple B’nai Israel 1 Wave Ave. Revere, MA 02150
