Blethen, Clifford G. 79, of Plymouth (Manomet) passed away at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Plymouth on February 12. Husband for 57 years of Myrna (Hadaway) Blethen of Manomet. Father of Kent Blethen of Manomet and the late Dale Blethen
He also leaves his 2 beloved grandchildren Daniel and Julie Blethen.
Clifford was born in Dexter, Maine the son of Clifford “Pat”and Lilia (Ray) Blethen . He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. Clifford was a self- employed painting contractor and worked for many years for Boyer’s in Plymouth.
Clifford belonged to the Cranberry Fly Wheelers and he enjoyed flying radio controlled model airplanes and helicopters and a member of Middleboro Radio Controllers. He recently got a drone to continue his flying. He loved spending time with his family especially his 2 grandchildren.
Visiting hours will be held at the Richard Davis Funeral Home, 619 State Road (Rte. 3A) Plymouth (Manomet) on Wednesday February 18 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Burial at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne will be private. In lieu of flowers, his family requests that donations in his memory be made to the American Diabetes Association, PO Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312.
