Laurence N. Ladd, 72, of Marlboro, formerly of Hudson, died on Sunday, February 8th.
Laurence was born and raised in Natick, son of the late Norman and Iola (Poore) Ladd. He resided in Marlboro for a short time before moving to Hudson in 1973. He was a Fire Fighter in the Town of Hudson for many years until his retirement. He has resided in Marlboro since 1984.
Laurence enjoyed fly fishing and loved tinkering with his model train collection. He looked forward to hunting season in his younger years but most of all he cherished the time he was able to be with his son and grandchildren.
He is survived by his son, Robert L Ladd and his wife Dawn of Redlands, CA; his daughter, Suzzane Ladd of Hudson and his loving grandchildren, Austin and Jacob Ladd. He is also survived by his longtime companion, Laura Prior of Marlboro; his former wife and mother of his children, Lorraine E. (Jacobs) Ladd of Hudson, along with several step-grandchildren.
A funeral service and celebration of Laurence’s life will be on Tuesday, Feb. 17th at 11:00 a.m. in the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749. Burial services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Family and friends may attend calling hours on Monday, Feb. 16th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
