Obituary

Whitman – James Bulman 85, a longtime resident of Whitman, died Tuesday February 10 after a period of failing health. He was the husband of the late Margaret “Peggy” (Towler) Bulman.

Born in Hanson, he was the son of the late Joseph and Mildred (Willis) Bulman.

Jim was an active member of the Whitman community, and had served many years as a call firefighter. He was a longtime member of the Knights of Columbus of Whitman and the Rod & Gun Club of Hanson. Prior to his retirement, he had worked 39 years for Eastern Edison of Brockton.

He is survived by his daughters Ann Bulman, Maria Smith, Christina Simmons and her husband Donald, his sons Joseph Bulman and his wife Sarah, Martin Bulman and James R. Bulman, his grandchildren Michael, Maria, Haley and Georgia Bulman and Gwen and Jameson Simmons, and his sister Mary Haroldstad as well as many nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his devoted dog “Tebo”. He was predeceased by his son Mark A. Bulman and his siblings Joseph and Neil Bulman and Ellen Nava.

His funeral service will be held Monday February 16 at 11:00 AM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 @ the rotary) Whitman. Burial will be at a later date in the St. James Cemetery, Whitman. Visiting hours will be held Sunday February 15 from 2:00-6:00 PM.
