Phillip Matthew Rodriguez, 33, of Ledyard, passed away on Sunday, February 8, 2015. He was born January 10, 1982 in Westerly RI, the son of Marie (Falzarano) Rodriguez of Ledyard and the late Manuel C. Rodriguez.
He attended local schools in Ledyard and graduated from Grasso Tech in the Culinary Class of 2000. Phillip was currently employed as a chef at Kitchen Little in Mystic. He was a member of CT Area Reef Society. He was an avid salt water aquarium enthusiast, building and designing many tanks for family and friends.
In addition to his beloved mother, he is survived by three siblings; Michael and his wife Zinthia Rodriguez of Quaker Hill, Brian and Traci Rodriguez, both of Ledyard and his nieces and nephews, Shai, Alexi, Carmine, Ziana, and Carmello. He is also survived by his maternal grandmother, Angela Falzarano of Canterbury, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
His family will greet relatives and friends on Sunday, February 15, from 3 to 6pm at the Dinoto Funeral Home, 17 Pearl Street, Mystic. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, at 10am at the Ledyard Congregational Church, 722 Colonel Ledyard Highway, Ledyard. Burial will follow in Avery-Stoddard Cemetery, Ledyard.
