Richard L. "Richie" Westgate of Taunton, formerly of New Bedford passed away on February 10, 2015. Mr. Westgate was 77 years old. Richie is survived by many friends including Charles "Chick" Rose.
Richie was born in New Bedford on July 7, 1937. He grew up in Wareham and later settled in Taunton, calling the city home for the rest of his life. Mr. Westgate will be remembered as a quiet and gentle soul. Richie will be missed by all who cared for him.
A graveside committal service with Catholic prayers will take place on Tuesday February 17th at 2pm in Mayflower Hill Cemetery. No Visiting Hours are scheduled.
