Whitman – Catherine (Vatalaro) Nason 60, a 20 year resident of Whitman, died peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family on Monday February 9. She was wife of 31 years to Rick Nason.
Born in Weymouth and raised in Braintree she was the daughter of Mary (Tavano) Petrozziello of Braintree and the late Vito Vatalaro and a graduate of Braintree High School.
She had worked 15 years for Armstrong Industries and for the past 23 years she had served the Healthcare field. Most recently Catherine had worked as a residential house manager for the Association of Human Services.
In addition to her husband Rick and her mother Mary she is survived by her son Corey Nason and his fiancée Michelle Ibbitson of Whitman, her sister Lisa Henderson and her husband Jerry of Brockton, her brothers Fred Petrozziello of Braintree and Vito Vatalaro and his wife Karen of Brockton as well as many nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind “the girls” her beloved dogs Marlee, Maddee and Mindee.
