Obituary

NATICK: Annie M. (Caputo) Piccioli, age 78, a 44 year resident of Natick, died peacefully on Thursday morning, February 5, 2015, at MetroWest Medical Center in Natick, after a brief illness. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend.

Born, raised, and educated in Worcester, Annie was a daughter of the late Pasquale and Giuseppina (Capalbo) Caputo. She married and moved to Virginia where her husband was stationed with the US Navy. The Piccioli’s later settled with their growing family in Natick.

Annie joined the workforce as her children grew, initially working with the Fenwal Electronics Corp. in Framingham. During her twenty years with the company she often had a part time job, the last of which was working at the Market Basket Supermarket in Ashland. When Fenwal moved their production facilities, Annie became a full time Market Basket employee, working for 23 years at the front end of the store. She continued to work until she fell ill three weeks ago.

A lady whose life revolved around family and work, Annie was fierce in her devotion to both. She loved being in the company of her children and grandchildren, although in recent years they may have fallen by a peg or two in favor of her 10 great-grandchildren.

Predeceased by a son, Roger , who died of leukemia when he was 4 years of age, Annie is survived by her children, Robert F. Piccioli and his wife Therese of Bellingham, Rosemarie Murtagh and her husband George of Framingham, Frances Bosgraaf and her husband John of Sanford, FL, and Paul R. Piccioli and his wife Michelle of Natick; six grandchildren, Robert, Laurie, George, Michele, Amanda, and Aurelia; a sister, Grace Claprood of Worcester; two brothers, Anthony Caputo and his wife Connie of Spencer, and Frank Caputo and his wife Mary of W. Boylston; and many nieces and nephews. She was also the grandmother of the late Patrick and Cody Shane, and sister of the late Lily Palermo, Nancy Caputo, and Marie Richardson.

Visiting hours will be in the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street at Natick Common, on Saturday, February 14th from 1 – 4PM. Burial will be private at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Annie’s memory to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Donor Services, PO Box 4072, Pittsfield, MA 01202, would be appreciated.
