Leicester – Martin J. Ventura, 43, died peacefully surrounded by his family and friends on Wednesday December 29 in his home after a long illness.
Mr. Ventura is survived by his wife of 25 years Debra A. (Migneault) Ventura; a son Andrew M. Ventura; a daughter Angela F. Ventura all of Leicester; his mother Beverly (Stone) Rice and her husband David of Leicester; his father Carmelo “Chuck” Ventura of Tampa, FL; a brother Michael Ventura of Woodstock, CT; three sisters Lynn Desforges of Spencer, Alesia Ventura of Worcester and Pamela Johnson of Amherst, NH; his maternal grandmother Maude Stone of Oakham and many family members and friends. Mr. Ventura was born in Holden, MA and graduated from Worcester Boys Trade.
He worked as a graphic artist for Lavigne Press for the past 18 years before stopping work due to his illness.
Mr. Ventura was a member of Saint Andrew the Apostle Church in Worcester, the Leicester Snowmobile Club and loved music as well as being a sports fan. He was a wine connoisseur and a former member of the Auburn Sportsman’s Club and the Worcester Dart League.
The funeral will be held on Monday January 3 from the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home (www.Royfuneral.com) 12 Hammond St. with a mass at 10 AM in St. Andrew the Apostle Church 5 Spaulding St. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours will be held from 4 to 8 PM on Sunday January 2 in the funeral home.
