Obituary

WATERBURY, CT – Debra Hinckley, 46, passed away on Thursday, February 5, 2015 at the VITAS Inpatient Hospice Unit at St. Mary’s Hospital. Her family was by her side during her illness and as she began her journey home. She was the fiancée of Michael Frischetto. They were to be married this summer.
Born in Gloucester on June 8, 1968, she was the daughter of Linda (Eastman) Hinckley O’Leary and the late James E. Hinckley, Sr.
Debra attended East Gloucester Elementary School, O’Maley Middle School and Gloucester High School. She waitressed at many coffee shops and restaurants in Gloucester and Rockport, as well as Florida and New Hampshire, over the years.
She always loved to travel, ending up in Connecticut, where she has lived for the past seven years. Debra loved coming home to Gloucester to visit her family, especially her daughter, Melissa Hinckley, and her grandchildren, Lily-Lee Millner and Sean Chandler, whom she adored.
In addition to her fiancé, mother, daughter, and grandchildren she is survived by her grandmother, Elinor; brother, James Hinckley and his wife, Lisa; sister, Heidi Scola and her husband, Joseph; brother, Jamie O’Leary and his wife, Kaitlyn and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. She was also predeceased by her stepfather, Charles O’Leary; grandparents, Harry Eastman, John Amero and Evelyn and Fred Hinckley.
Her funeral service will be on Saturday, in the Pike-Grondin Funeral Home, 61 Middle Street, Gloucester, at 3 p.m. Visiting hours will be held prior to the service from 2 – 3 p.m.
