Osman J. “Ozzie” Ladue, age 84, passed away on Feb. 4, 2015 at Redstone Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. He was born on July 19, 1930 in the Indian Orchard section of Springfield. His parents were the late Osman L. and Eva (Therrien) Ladue. He worked as a truck driver for over 30 years and retired from Astro Chemicals in Springfield around 1998. He was a long time communicant of Grace Episcopal Church. He was an avid amateur Ham Radio Operator and achieved the rank of Extra Class N1AV. He is predeceased by his wife Barbara (Ferron) Ladue, who passed away in 2002. He leaves 2 daughters, Rose Owen and her husband Richard of Springfield and Deborah Dauphinais and her husband Glen Faulkins of Chicopee; 1 sister, Lorraine Dion of Chicopee; 5 grandchildren, Joseph, Erica, Allison, Jasmine and Joshua and 2 beloved great grandchildren, Jonathan and Dylan. He is predeceased by his son Michael Ladue; 2 brothers, Roland and Raymond and 4 sisters, Doris, Estelle, Irene and Theresa. Calling hours will be held on Tues., Feb. 10, 2015 from 4-7 p.m. at the Grise Funeral Home, 280 Springfield St, Chicopee with a prayer service starting at 6:30 p.m. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
