Jane E. (Cray) Hurst, age 89, passed away on Jan. 28, 2015 at Birch Manor Nursing Home in Chicopee. She was born on March 12, 1925 in Holyoke, a daughter of the late William C. and Mary (Ward) Cray. Jane worked as a secretary for Springfield College for over 20 years before she retired around 1983. She was a communicant of Mary Mother of Hope Church. She loved to swim and read. Jane also loved going to Rhode Island and being with family. She leaves her loving husband Joseph T. Hurst of Chicopee; 1 sons, Joseph Hurst of Chicopee; 1 daughter Mary Ellen Bousquet and her husband Steven of RI; a daughter-in-law Mary Hurst of Chicopee; 8 grandchildren, Steven, Thomas, Patrick, Megan, Kerry, Brendan, Brittany and Brian and 2 beloved great grandchildren, Benny and Charlotte. She is predeceased by her son James Hurst who passed away in 2003 and also by her brother Ward James Cray and 2 sisters, Roselyn McCloud and Roberta Mizula. All services will be private for family.
