Obituary

CHICOPEE – Juliette L. (Sansoucy) Turcot, 88, a longtime resident of Chicopee, was Called Safely Home on Monday, February 9, 2015. She passed into Eternal Life from Wingate at Springfield surrounded by all the memories she loved and cherished. She was born at home in Chicopee on July 23, 1926, a beloved daughter of the late Felix Eugene Sansoucy and Josephine (Cliché) Sansoucy. She lived in Chicopee for many years, where she raised her family and later lived in Belchertown for 20 years. She was a communicant of the former Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church in Chicopee. Most of all, she was a wonderful homemaker to her family and showered them with her love and affection which was returned to her a thousand fold. Besides her parents, she was also predeceased by her loving son, David E. Turcot who was Called Home in 1955; her beloved husband, Rene W. Turcot who was Called Home on April 2, 1992; and her dear brother and sisters, Albert, Helen, Rita, and Lucille. She leaves her loving children, Bernadette E. Turcot of Springfield; and Alan P. Turcot and his wife, Judith, of Charlestown, NH; her cherished grandson, Zachary D. Turcot and his wife, Victoria, of Newport, NH; her cherished great-grandchildren, Allyssa and Nikolas Turcot; her dear sister, Doris J. Guay of Northbridge, MA; and her many dear nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and extended members of the Turcot and Sansoucy families. Her funeral will be held on Friday morning, February 13, 2015 beginning at the St. Pierre – Phaneuf Aldenville Chapels, (413-532-9806), 13 Dale Street, Chicopee, MA 01020, (funeral home will open at 9 a.m.), followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in Sainte Rose de Lima Church, 600 Grattan Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. Her burial will follow the Mass at Sainte Rose Cemetery, 49 Olsen Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, February 12, 2015 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The parking lot and main entrance are located in the rear of the funeral home at 20 Lafayette Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. Her family has requested that memorial donations be made in her memory to the Alzheimer’s Association, 264 Cottage Street, Springfield, MA 01104.
