Maria A. "Maria Anginha" DeBrito, 98, of New Bedford died February 9, 2015 at St. Luke's Hospital.
Born in Sao Nicolau, Cape Verde, she has lived in New Bedford since 1986. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Assumption Church.
Maria was formerly employed as a chef.
She enjoyed dancing.
Survivors include her son, Herculano DeBrito of New Bedford; 8 grandchildren including
Jose L. Spencer of New Bedford, 20 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.
She was the mother of the late Clotilde Tavares.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 13th at 11:30 AM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home For Funerals, 495 Park St. New Bedford. Visiting hours Thursday, February 12th from 2-6 PM.
