Obituary

TEWKSBURY - Paul T. Pepin, age 81, a long-time Tewksbury resident, United States Air Force Veteran, and an active member of St. Williams Parish and local civic affairs, died peacefully on Sunday evening, February 8th, surrounded by his loving family at the E.N. Rogers V.A. Hospital in Bedford. He was the beloved husband of Mary E. (Mahoney) Pepin, with whom he had celebrated his 57th wedding anniversary this past June.
Paul was born in Lowell, on October 9, 1933, the son of the late Paul and Marie A. Pepin, and graduated as Valedictorian of St. Joseph's High School in Lowell, Class of 1951.
He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He earned an Associate Degree from the former Lowell Textile Institute and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Merrimack College, Magna Cum Laude. Prior to retirement in 1993, he worked as an Electrical Engineer for Raytheon.
Paul and Mary were residents of Tewksbury for 56 years. He was an active communicant, supporter, and member of St. William’s Parish. In addition, he was a member of the St. William’s Holy Name Society, the Fr. Coppen’s Council 4336 Knights of Columbus and St. William’s Parish Council. He volunteered at the Oblate Father’s Infirmary and was a member of the St. William’s Men’s Club for over fifty years. He was also a member of the American-Canadian Genealogy Society in Manchester, NH, a volunteer at Tewksbury’s Food Pantry, and was active in Boy Scouts of America, Troop 49, during the 1960’s and early 1970’s.
Besides his wife, he leaves two sons, Paul J. Pepin and his wife Jennifer(Cain) of Efland, NC, Colonel Allan Pepin and his wife Heather (Lewison) of Newport, RI, four daughters, Mary Pepin Kennedy and her husband Francis of Pepperell, Anne M. Millerick and her husband James of Tyngsboro, Eleanor K. DeBlasio of Walpole, Michelle J. McNaught of Chelmsford; fifteen grandchildren, Matthew, Kristen, Brian, Cailin and Connor Kennedy, Thomas and Allison Millerick, Mary, Francis, and Katie DeBlasio, Jonathan and Lydia Pepin, Megan McNaught and Donald J. McNaught III, and Zachary Jaraczewski; a brother in law, William Harrington of Lowell, a brother in law, Allan Mahoney and his wife Pauline (Webb) Mahoney of East Hampstead, NH; and was predeceased by a son-in-law, Allan J. DeBlasio who died in 2002 and a sister-in-law, Eleanor (Mahoney) Harrington who died in 2014.
Visiting hours will be held Friday, February 13th from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the Tewksbury Funeral Home, corner of 1 Dewey and 975 Main Sts. (Rte 38), (978) 851 2950. His funeral will begin Saturday at 9:00 a.m. from the funeral home, followed by a Funeral Mass Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at St. William’s Church, 1351 Main St. (Rte. 38) Tewksbury. Burial with U.S.A.F. Honors will be at the Tewksbury Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Tewksbury Food Pantry, 999 Whipple Rd.
