Elaine Toni Gendreau, 57, of New Bedford died Saturday February 7, 2015 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, daughter, grandmother, and friend.
She was the wife of Charles J. Gendreau and the loving mother of Toni M. Contois and Jason C. Gendreau.
Born in New Bedford, she was the daughter of the late Antone Luce, Jr. and the late Elsie Blanchette.
Elaine was a graduate of Dartmouth High School and also attained her degree in business.
In addition to her husband and children, she is survived by seven siblings, Bruce Lewis, Diane Machado and her husband Robert, Michael Luce, Cheryl Barrett and her husband Charles, Rosemary Head, Tamara Luce, and Sandra Hibbert and her husband Todd; and six grandchildren.
She was the sister of the late Karen DeMello and Robert Luce.
Her Funeral will be held on Friday at 8 AM from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford, followed by her Funeral Mass at St. Mary's Church, South Dartmouth at 9 AM.
