Obituary

David K. “Chino” Hong, 32, of Worcester died Sunday, February 1st in UMASS Memorial Medical Center – University Campus. He leaves his wife of 3 years, Kelly R. (Richard) Hong who was the love of his life, a son, Javian Ortega; a daughter, Sierra Hong; his mother in law, Helen Richard; two brother in laws, Joseph Richard, III and Nicholas Kontos; a nephew, Joseph Richard, IV; a niece, Arianna Richard and two aunts, Helen and Mabel Hong all of Worcester.
He was born in Rangoon, Burma son of Shwe W. and Chwe N. (Law) Hong and attended Doherty High School. Chino was a barber and also worked at local pizza shops. He enjoyed barbering and helping others out. David adored his children and loved spending time with them.
Calling hours are Wednesday, February 11th from 9:00 until 11:00 AM in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue followed by a funeral Mass at 11:30 AM in St. Peter’s Church, 931 Main Street. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Street, Paxton.
