Donald Earl Trites, 73, of Walpole, died, Thursday, February 5, 2015 at Norwood Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Patricia Ann (Spellman) Trites for 55 years.
Born in Natick on March 23, 1941, he was the son of the late Robert and Kathryn (Benjamin) Trites.
Mr. Trites was a resident of Walpole since 1977 and formerly resided in Wellesley.
Before his retirement, he worked as an auto mechanic in the Newton area for most of his life.
Mr. Trites was an avid NASCAR fan.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Donna E. Morse and her husband Richard C., Jr. of North Attleboro and Dana E. Trites of Franklin and two grandchildren, Richard C. Morse, III and Alexandria M. Trites.
He is also survived by a brother William B. Trites of Rhode Island and many nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Mary Nason.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Wednesday, February 11 from 4 - 7 p.m. in the Ginley Funeral Home, 892 Main Street in Walpole (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com).
Burial will take place privately in Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton.
