Alice (Rego) Travassos, age 88 of Fall River, passed away Feb. 6, 2015 at the Blaire House of Milford. Born in Remédios da Bretanha, São Miguel, Açores, she was the wife of the late Jose Agostinho Travassos and the daughter of the late Jacinto and Maria (dos Santos) Do Rego. Prior to retiring, Alice worked for the former Quaker Fabric, and then as a Housekeeper at Charlton Memorial Hospital. She was also a parishioner of Espirito Santo Church.
She is survived by her Son Gus Travassos and his wife Ivone of Boston; her Granddaughter, Debora Travassos; her Sisters: Hilda Arruda of Fall River, Senhorina Do Rego of Capelas, São Miguel, Açores, and Anselmo Do Rego of Toronto, Canada; many nieces and nephews. Alice was predeceased by 7 Brothers and Sisters.
Her funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME, INC. 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on THURSDAY, Feb. 12th at 8:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Espirito Santo Church at 9:00 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Fall River.
