North Andover - Priscilla Anne Cronin, of North Andover, Mass., died on Friday, February 6, 2015, of natural causes, at the Prescott House in North Andover.
She was the beloved wife of the late Robert Quintal, with whom she shared 58 years of marriage; devoted mother of Kathleen (Quintal) Kotce, and the late Stanley Kotce of Chico, Calif., Robert Quintal and Christine of Eliot, Maine, Judy Quintal of North Andover, John Quintal and Jean of Boston, David Quintal and Monica of Methuen, Paul Quintal of North Andover, Anne "Terry" (Quintal) Walton and her husband, Robert, of North Andover, and Michael Quintal of North Andover; brother John Cronin and his wife Constance of North Andover and sister in law Eleanor Cronin of Port Charlotte, FL; preceded in death by brothers Michael Cronin and David Cronin and sisters Ann Theresa Cronin and Sheila Campbell; cherished grandmother of Jennifer (Kotce) Stone, David Kotce, Alex Kotce, Zachary Quintal, Elizabeth Rodriguez, Anthony Quintal, Giovanni Quintal, and Julian Quintal. She is also survived by brothers-in-law Richard Quintal and his wife Patricia of Andover, and Chester Campbell of North Andover, MA., sisters-in-law Doris Foucher of Scottsdale, AZ and sister in law Rita Quintal of Methuen. Also, many cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was the daughter of the late John and Teresa (Mullins) Cronin of Andover. Born on June 6, 1933, in Lawrence, she graduated from St. Patrick’s High School in 1951 and the Catherine Laboure School of Nursing in 1954. Although principally a homemaker, she worked as a Registered Nurse at the Carney Hospital in Dorchester, Bon Secours Hospital in Methuen, and Stevens Home and Sutton Hill Center in North Andover.
Priscilla was a woman of deep faith and a member of the Massachusetts Citizens for Life. She participated in civic, charitable and youth organizations, including North Andover Democratic Town Committee, The Heart Fund, Cub Scouts, Brownies and Girl Scouts. She was also a CCD teacher and loyal Boston sports fan.
ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral Mass will be offered on Thursday, February 12, at 10 a.m., at St. Michael's Church in North Andover. Family and friends may call on Wednesday, February 11, from 3 to 8 p.m., and Thursday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m., at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, 35 Merrimack St., North Andover.
