Obituary

Albertine G. ‘Betty’ (Beaulieu) Robinson, 103 of Salem, passed away peacefully at the Devereux House in Marblehead following a long illness. She was the wife of the late Louis W. Robinson.

Born and raised in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Alma (Michaud) Beaulieu. Betty was a member of the first graduating class of St. Joseph Academy in 1929. For a number of years, she was the millinery buyer for L. H. Rogers of Salem. Always faithful to the former St. Joseph Parish, over the years she did volunteer work for the school cafeteria, the parish bingo and many other St. Joseph’s activities and fund raising events. Betty was a member and treasurer of the parish sodality; Les Dames de la Ste. Famille.

Betty was devoted to her husband, daughters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She maintained a very special and close relationship with her brother and four sisters as well as her nieces and nephews.

She is survived by two daughters, Claudette A. Robinson of Salem, Jane L. Mandeville of Lowell, her sister, Annette Gagnon of Salem, two grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her sisters, Alma Bouchard, Cecile Abodeely, Theresa LaMontagne and brother Lucien Beaulieu.

Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral mass on Saturday, February 14, 2015 in Ste. Anne Church, 290 Jefferson Ave., Salem at 11:00 A.M., with visiting hours preceding her funeral in the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St. [Route 114 / 1-A] Salem from 9:00 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery Salem. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
