Obituary

Ralph A. Fiore, 68, died unexpectedly on Sunday February 1, 2015 at his home. Born in Beverly on August 7, 1946, he was the son of the late Arcangelo J. and Marian (Poole) Fiore.
A lifelong resident of Beverly he was a graduate of Beverly High School. Ralph served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He was employed as a firefighter for the City of Beverly for twenty years before his retirement in 1991.
Ralph was member of Herman A. Spear Post #331, American Legion, Fortunato V.F.W. Post #545, Italian Community Center and the Union Club all of Beverly. He was an avid sports fan who enjoyed all local and Boston sports teams. He especially loved to spend time at West Beach with his many dear friends.
He is survived by two sons, Matthew B. Fiore and his wife, Patricia A. of Round Rock, Texas and Casey J. Fiore of Beverly; one grandson, Trenton J. Fiore of Beverly; four sisters, Joanna Cotoia and her husband, Rudy, JoAlice Hutchinson, Pauline Fiore and Sugar Moca and her husband, Donnie and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was also predeceased by his brother, Carl Fiore.
A memorial service will be held later in the year on his birthday at a place and time to be announced. There are no visiting hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the Andrew P. Hawryluk Scholarship Firefighter Fund, c/o Beverly Fire Department, 15 Hale St., Attn: Chad McCormack, Beverly, MA 01915. Interment will be held in Beverly Farms Cemetery.
