Obituary

GROVELAND: Eileen M. Lynch, 89, formerly of Danvers, died Tuesday, February 3, 2015 in the Nashoba Valley Medical Center in Ayer following a brief illness.
Born in Peabody on April 30, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Major William R. Lynch and Mary (O’Keefe) Lynch. She had resided in Danvers for many years before moving to Groveland eleven years ago. She was a graduate of Danvers High School.
Eileen was employed in the toll department of New England Telephone Company for many years before her retirement. She traveled extensively through most of the United States and Canada. She also traveled with her sister, Marie to visit their brother, James in Germany and also visited Ireland, England, Italy, France, Holland and Switzerland. She was also a member of the Danvers Historical Society.
Eileen is survived by several cousins and many dear friends on the North Shore and at Nichols Way in Groveland. She was also predeceased by her brother Col. James E. Lynch and her sister, Marie L. Lynch who died in May 2014.
Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday in the Carmelite Monastery, 15 Mount Carmel Road, Danvers at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. Interment will be held in Annunciation Cemetery, Danvers. Expressions of sympathy may be made in her memory to Carmelite Monastery, 15 Mount Carmel Rd., Danvers, MA 01923.
