Julia “Jewels” A. Gross McCassie, 58, of Franklin died February 2 in the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worcester.

Born in Natick, January 22, 1957, the daughter of Florence (Ribotto) and Alfred McCassie of Millis, Miss Gross had lived in Franklin for over 40 years.

Jewels loved to listen to music, color in her books, play cards, dress her doll Pamela and eat McDonald's french fries and hamburgers with a Coke.

In addition to her parents she is survived by her sister, Cheryl Corman and her husband George of Millis and was the sister of the late Alfred McCassie, Jr., a niece, Cheyenne McCassie and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
She is also survived by her extended family of Rosie Lomberto of Blackstone, Debbie Lomberto of Franklin and Tammie Quintina and her husband Joe of Franklin and their 4 boys.
Her family and friends will celebrate her life from 9:00-10:00 am on Saturday, February 7 in the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 3 Barber Street, Medway followed by a funeral service at 10:00.
Burial will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Natick.
In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made in her memory to the Bay Path Humane Society of Hopkinton, 5 Rafferty Road, Hopkinton, MA 01741.
