Obituary

TAUNTON – Anne Frances (Burgess) Franco of Taunton, wife of the late Edward S. Franco, died at the Marian Manor on Feb. 3, 2015.
She was 94.
Born in Taunton, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Silva) Burgess.
She graduated from Taunton High School in 1938, and attended Fisher College.
Employed as a secretary for the L.G. Balfour Company of Attleboro for many years, she retired in 1991.
A communicant of Annunciation of the Lord Church, and member of the Women’s Guild, Anne was a Eucharistic Minister, and was past president of the Holy Rosary Society.
A member of the St. Vincent DePaul and Holy Ghost Societies, she was also treasurer of the Council of Catholic Women, past secretary of the Taunton Women’s Club, and a longtime member of the Weir Seniors.
She was a recipient of the Margaret M. Lahey Award.
Survivors include a sister, Phyllis E. McClellan of Lake Worth, FL; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also the sister of the late Janet A. Freeman.
Her funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway Taunton on Saturday, Feb. 7th at 9:30 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at Annunciation of the Lord Church at 11 a.m.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
The family will be receiving visitors at the funeral home from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. prior to the funeral mass.
