Methuen – Yvette (Albert) Weigel, 97 of Methuen, died Sunday, February 1, 2015 at the Methuen Health & Rehabilitation Center in Methuen after a brief illness.
Born in St. Agatha, Maine, Yvette lived most of her life in Methuen. Mrs. Weigel had been employed for over 30 years with Western Electric as an assembler before her retirement.
The widow of Manfred Weigel, she is survived by her loving nieces, who were like her own daughters, Marie (Lapointe) Guerin of Lawrence, Diane (Lapointe) Corriveau of Methuen, and Nancy (Lapointe) Bailey of Concord, NH. She is also survived by several other nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her sisters, Eva, Cecile, and Georgette, her brother, Henry, and her niece, Ann (Lapointe) Brideau.
Yvette’s Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11AM on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church/St. Theresa Church, 22 Plymouth Street in Methuen. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Methuen. At the request of the family, there are no calling hours. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street, Methuen.
