SACO- “Junior” Alphonse Legere Jr., age 53, of Beach St. in Saco, passed away on Jan. 30, 2015 at Maine Medical Center in Portland.
He was born on Nov. 24, 1961, a son of the late Alphonse Sr. and Ruth (Varney) Legere who currently resides in Westbrook.
For many years he worked for Sebago Moc and at the Yellow Giraffe Hotel in Old Orchard Beach as the grounds manager.
He is survived by his significant other of 25 years- Paula Abbott of Saco; children- Josh, Andrew, Adam, and Jeremy Legere; brothers- Richard and Ronnie Legere; sisters- Judy Charest and Sandy Trufant; grandchildren- Brady and Brooke; many nieces and nephews; and many dear friends who he cherished.
Junior will be remembered for his love of all sports; however, he especially enjoyed going to Scarborough Downs with Paula, Ronnie and Jeremy.
Being with Paula, his sons, and family was what was most important to Junior.
Visitation will be on Friday, Feb. 6, from 12 noon to 1 PM, followed by a 1 PM memorial service at the Chad E. Poitras Cremation and Funeral Service Chapel, 498 Long Plains Road, (RT 22), in Buxton.
