WESTPORT… Ellen (Pinkos) Drapeau, 92, of Westport passed away January 28, 2015 at her home following a long illness.
She was wife of the late Joseph Gerard Emil Drapeau.
Born in Westport, she was a daughter of the late Sobek and Katherine (Tworak) Pinkos and had lived most of her life in this town.
Mrs. Drapeau was a communicant of Our Lady of Grace Church in Westport and was very active in civic duties such as the building of Britland Park in Fall River and several other community events. She enjoyed gardening, blueberry picking, hosting large parties, the beach and was a Bluebird Leader.
Survivors include 2 daughters: Geraldine Drapeau Dzialo of Bellows Falls, VT & JoEllen Drapeau Cabral Sevigny of Westport, an estranged daughter: Frances Eldridge of Dennisport, MA, a sister: Marjorie Botelho of Somerset, a brother: Leo Pinkos of Fall River, 2 dedicated Granddaughters: Erika Costa & Jessica Cabral, 2 estranged grandsons: John & Justin Drapeau and a great granddaughter: Jay-Lee Cabral. She was mother of the late Joseph & James Drapeau and sister of the late Ana Comstock, Mary, John & Stanley Pinkos.
