Gaetano V. “Gus” Perrone passed away unexpectedly at his Wareham home. He was 55. Born and raised in Somerville, Gus was a devoted father to his two children and worked with his family as a plant manager in their business, Pearl Meat Packing. Gus was a Somerville resident for much of his life and lived for the past two years in Wareham. He enjoyed the beach and spending time with friends and his loving family. He was devoted to his children, parents, sister, nieces and nephew.
The beloved father of John Perrone of Medford and CaraMia Perrone of Medford, Gus was a loving son of Vincent and Anna ((Tagliavento) Perrone of Wareham. He was the dear brother of Marianne Salami and her husband Michael of Somerville and the late Raymond Perrone. He was a devoted uncle to Nicholas, Adriana and Melissa, a dear great uncle to Liana and is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.
His funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Thursday, February 5th at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St Joseph Church 118 High St., Medford at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with the family at the funeral home on Wednesday 4 - 8. Interment will be private.
