Obituary

Manchester– Marcelle A. Lemay, 91, died January 30, 2015 at Catholic Medical Center following a brief illness.
She was born in Manchester on September 9, 1923 the daughter of Wilfrid Z. and Alice Lea (Dugre) Paradis.
She graduated Valedictorian from St. Anthony High School, then earned her Associates degree from Lowell Tech, now UMASS Lowell.
She was a plant manager for Pandora Industries for 30 years.
She was a longtime Parishioner of St. Anthony of Padua Church, lifetime member of St. Anne Sodality, and was highly involved with AARP.
Marcelle leaves her loving daughter and best friend at heart, Corinne Foreman– Doherty, and son in law, David whom she shared the love of tennis, and granddaughters, Nicole and Jaime Foreman with who she had many heart to heart talks. She also leaves a step daughter, Jeanie (Lemay) Hanczarek, and her two sons, Jordan and Austin.
She was predeceased by her husband, Guy Lemay, a daughter, Colette A. Wieczorek, and a brother, Msgr. Wilfrid A. Paradis.
Marcelle was very grateful to her neighbor, Phil Simard who watched over her and took her to her hair appointments. The family was also grateful to the staff of Catholic Medical Center, Level C who made her last days so comfortable.
Marcelle’s best years were her retirement years she spent in Bradenton FL. with her husband, Guy .
Following her husband’s death she returned to Manchester to be near her daughter. They spent every Friday evening together shopping and dining at local restaurants. She also loved the NH seashore and looked forward to her trips there.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday February 7, 2015 at 10 AM in St. Anthony Church.
Burial will follow in St. Augustin Cemetery.
