Obituary

Edward J. Dulak, of Berkley, died after a short illness Thursday, January 29, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Brockton. Born 86 years ago to the late Kazimierz and Zofia (Kulpa) Dulak, he was the husband of Jeannette Rose (Lemieux) Dulak for 37 years. A lifelong Berkley resident, he graduated from Berkley High School and Northeastern University’s Lincoln Institute. Mr. Dulak retired as a Civil Engineer from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Highway Department in Taunton after serving 34 years. A veteran of the Korean Conflict, and one of the areas earliest draftees, Mr. Dulak served in war-torn Germany as a member of the 7th US Army 62nd AAABN. Mr. Dulak, a communicant of Holy Rosary Church, was extremely proud of his Polish heritage, and was a life member of the Polish American Citizen’s Club.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by sisters Bertha Souza of Taunton, and Natalie (Wresilo) Dulak of Bridgeport, CT, and several nieces and nephews. He was brother of the late John and Celia Dulak, Adela Thompson and Emily Sobolewski.

Funeral Services to be from Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street, on Wed., Feb. 4 at 10AM with a Visiting Hour & 1/2 prior from 8:30AM to 10AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Annunciation of the Lord Parish, 31 First Street, Taunton, Wed. at 11AM.
