Obituary

Auburn- John O. Erickson, 58, of 10 Carlson Way, died Saturday, Dec. 25, in St. Vincent Hospital.
He leaves his wife of 3 years, Tina M. (Cormier) Erickson; his mother, Gertrude P. (Dickinson) Erickson of Worcester; two sons, John O. Erickson Jr. and Michael Kowalewski, both of Worcester; five daughters, Nancy M. Erickson of Oxford, Denise M. Gianfriddo of West Brookfield, Brandy M. Lauzon of Dudley, Cindy M. Day of Millbury, and Kristen Kowalewski of Worcester; two step-daughters, Michaela Cormier and Lynzee Cormier, both of Auburn; four brothers, Rodney D. Erickson, Allen A. Erickson, Richard G. Erickson, and James Erickson, all of Worcester; five sisters, Nancy F. Hicks, Carol Bain, Donna Hall, Sandra Erickson, all of Worcester, and Kim Smith of New Hampshire; 9 grandchidlren; nephews and nieces. He was born in Caribou, ME, son of John O. Erickson and lived here many years.
Mr. Erickson was a coil machine operator at Wright-Line Co. for 37 years, and was still working at the time of his death.
He was a Charter Member of the Worcester Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie 4311. He enjoyed sports and especially liked golf, softball, and bowling.
The funeral will be held Thursday, Dec. 30, from DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton St., Worcester, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph Church, 35 Hamilton St., Worcester. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 29, in the funeral home.
