John C. Boyd, Jr., 59, of Tiverton, passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2015 at Rhode Island Hospital. He was the husband of the late Donna M. (Cummings) Boyd.
Born in Fall River, he was the son of Clare P. (O’Toole) Boyd of Westport and the late John C. Boyd. He served his country in the United States Navy. Mr. Boyd had resided in Tiverton for more than 10 years and had worked as a boiler engineer for Newport Hospital. He was an avid outdoorsman, a true boating enthusiast that loved the ocean and took pride in working on his boat, “The Grinch.”
Survivors along with his mother include his 2 sons: Craig T. Bazinet of Westport and John C. Boyd, III of Fall River; 3 sisters: Susan Janus of Portsmouth, Maureen McCullough of VA and Marilyn Thomson of MT; 4 grandchildren: Maya, Molly, Marc and Daniel; and his companion: Donna Perry.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass on Friday, February 6, 2015 at St. John the Baptist Church, Westport at 10:00 A.M.
Interment to follow in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
